Styled Shoot – Film only | Swartland

I have always loved working with film, even though most of my work is done using digital cameras.

For the last year or so I have been even more obsessed with the look of film, of putting in each roll and waiting for it to get developed.
During the quiet winter months I spent even more time on the web looking at all these gorgeous photos of photographers overseas that only (or mostly) work with film.
Then I took the leap and got my first medium format camera – a pentax 645n. Wow, is all I can say. Coupled with the 105mm lens and portra 400, it is schweet!
My other trusty friend is my nikon f100, partnered with the 85mm 1.8f.

I wanted to do a styled shoot to really show what we (me & the camera can do!).
It was lots of fun and pretty stressfull to dream up the concept and get all the providers. Without Vicky from Mocholoco, I do not think I would have been able to pull it off. She was full of ideas and enthusiasm and helped so much, she is also the gorgeous model!!
I hope you love the photos as much as I do … to 2016 and my year of film 🙂
